Looking Ahead to 2018

, Posted in General

Dear RUNALYZE user,

we hope you had a merry Christmas!

Retroperspective

Sadly we couldn’t reach our personal goal for 2017 to get an automatic synchronisation with other platforms. Besides the always valid limitation of us working on RUNALYZE only during leisure time, we had to refactor the activity parser, activity form and upload process to provide a stable infrastructure for the synchronization. At least this part is mainly done now.

Nevertheless, we’ve introduced some new features in 2017, like ANOVA tool, trend analysis and climb score. And don’t forget our poster tool.

Upcoming

In 2018, we can now focus on the synchronization process with e.g. TomTom and Polar to automatically fetch your activities. While TomTom allows us to fetch all activities from your complete history, Polar does only offer new activities. At least, we don’t have to pay 5000$ as one-time fee – that’s the case for Garmin. As you know, we will use the revenue of our shirts to get the synchronization with Garmin done. You can still buy shirts at our store at shop.runalyze.com to support this. Soon there will be also tank tops.

Please keep posting your ideas and suggestions for RUNALYZE in our forum to let us see what’s most important for you, as that’s what matters: our users.

Talking with your training partners or friends about RUNALYZE and mentioning us on the web (on blogs, social media channels, forums, …) makes us really happy and helps us to grow. Thank you for all your support so far! When you are logged in at RUNALYZE you can get more information by taking a look at the help page on how to support us.

We hope you have great holidays and wish you a healthy start into the new year.

With sporty regards

Hannes and Michael
