The year 2016 is over and we have a little gimmick for you:
Our goal at RUNALYZE is to provide not only a good analysis of your activities, but also some gimmickry. We’ve created three posters for you based on your running data of 2016:
- A heatmap which shows all your running tracks of the past year
- A grid which shows each running track of the past year separated
- A calendar view which shows all days you ran
Just go to https://runalyze.com/my/tools/poster and download your poster (available until end of february).
The images are big enough to be printed as posters. We would be glad if you show us your prints!
For the moment, this is a one-off campaign, but we want to integrate it as tool directly in RUNALYZE (even for self hosted installations) until the end of the year, so that you can adjust the language, texts and choose year and sport.
If there are any problems with the generated posters or you have additional wishes for the future – just tell us at our forum.
The posters are based on the open-source project GpxTrackPoster by Florian Pigorsch. Thanks for that great piece of code!
We wish you a happy and successful year 2017!
Best regards
Hannes, Michael

These are very nice. My request is to be able to filter out outliers in the heat map. Most of my running is around where I live but a few runs while traveling make the scale of this poster too large (resulting in just a few points showing up).
We got that request several times, but for the beginning we will not add that function. It will take some time until we integrate that tool directly into RUNALYZE.
I had to stop running and change to cycling early in 2016 due to arthrosis. Which is too bad for me and too bad for my posters :-(
Is there any chance to extend this GREAT(!!!) idea to 2015 or before?
Please read the blog post carefully:
Hi, there! Nice idea!
Is there any chance to rerun the script with my user, i load a lot of 2016 runs but the poster info is not updated.
Will be great as i have a lot of work done in 2016!
We cannot regenerate individual posters in the moment. Like said in the blog post
Some posters have been regenerated in the morning of 19th december
I can’t download the posters. Am I doing something wrong?
So when you have registered after the one-time creation of that posters or had no running data at that time in your account you have to wait.
